T2 Champ Preview: Can the Detroit Knights 3-peat?

The top division of MIHA has always had some unbelievable results at championships.    Season 4,  the #1 seeded Buffalo City Hawks were upset by the #8 Mid-Michigan Saints in Ft.Wayne, IN.  The Saints went on defeat the #7 seeded Knights in the Championships Game.   In season 5, the City Hawks avenged that heartbreaking loss and defeated the Windy City Syndicate to win the Championships that season.  Then in season 6, that Syndicate avenged their championship game loss by defeating the Detroit Revolution and winning their own championship.     The Detroit Knights are the 2-time defending Champions by defeating the Windy City Syndicate in season 7 and in season 8 as the #8 seed, they defeated the Buffalo Anarchy last season in OVERTIME!   The Knights are the very first T2 MIHA repeat champion!

The 2018-19 season in T2 was dominated by the Ohio Kings.  The Kings won all 4 tournaments that they attended posting a 16-1-0 record.    Due to several of the players and the goalie unable to attend this weekend, they had to withdraw from the championship event.   Out of the 6 T2 teams attending championships, they have only won 3 plaques between all of them.

Windy City Syndicate Red - won the Det2 - JCC tournament

Detroit Revolution - won the Chicago 2 tournament.

Buffalo Anarchy - won the Buffalo2 tournament.

The other three teams did not win a tournament this season - Detroit Knights, Windy City Syndicate Black, and the Mid-Michigan Saints.

Season 8 first round at Championships:

#8 Detroit Knights def. #1 Windy City Syndicate Black

#7 West Michigan Gong Show def. #2 Detroit Revolution

#6 Buffalo Anarchy def. #3 Windy City Syndicate Red

#5 Buffalo Excitement def. #4 Mid-Michigan Saints
